About the School
St. Pauls Special School was started by M.G.M Charitable Trust as a residential centre for children with intellectual disabilities who did not receive adequate love, care or educational support at home or in mainstream schools.
The School focuses on special education, vocational training and rehabilitation. Each child is assessed individually, and training programmes are tailored to their abilities so that they can learn daily living skills, communication, basic academics and work-related skills at their own pace.
Our Aim
- To impart special education to children with intellectual disabilities.
- To offer vocational training and pre-vocational activities suited to each child.
- To provide a loving, disciplined environment where children feel accepted and valued.
- To help them become as independent as possible in daily living and social interaction.
Key Areas of Training
- Self-help skills: eating, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene.
- Communication and social behaviour.
- Basic academic skills (as appropriate to ability).
- Simple vocational skills such as craft work, gardening and other age-appropriate activities.
Parents and guardians are considered partners in this journey. Regular interaction with families helps ensure continuity of care at home and prepares children for the future as far as possible.
